It is true that it is somewhat unknown to the general public, so keep it that way? better for those of us who are already part of it.

Angela Castaño, winemaker, has not settled for the established, a consolidated family winery (Bodegas Castaño), but has created Aires de Arriba. This new wine project wants to show the truth of each terroir, of the varieties it produces (Monastrell, Syrah, Tintorera and Petit Verdot), and of the four plots that imprint their nuances to each of its wines.

María José Huertas (current best sommelier in Spain) has chosen for the members of The Howell Co. Club two of the wines from Aires De Arriba: Monastrell, Parcela La Mallorquina 2021 and Syrah, Parcela El Ramblizal 2021. His video-tasting of both wines is included in the video included in the selection of the month, I can tell you that he appreciates the freshness that brings the altitude that we mentioned before (around 700m), lots of fruit that makes them enjoyable, as well as different nuances of each plot of the same wine region.

Once out of the established, the magic was missing. For this we have organized the third edition of Rostros Del Vino where María José will be the master of ceremonies, Ángela will present her wines and Arallo Taberna will display all its gastronomic daring.
