“Nits de vi” with Can Rich

Dinner at Sa Vida restaurant with Álvaro Pérez, Can Rich’s director.

On February 27, the island of Ibiza witnessed an evening that transcended the simple experience of a wine tasting. Nits de Vi was presented as a unique sensory experience, where each glass of wine told its own story, narrated by its winemaker, and each dish awakened new nuances that captivated the senses.

Sa Vida: the art of Ibicencan cuisine

In this first edition, the event took place at Sa Vida, a restaurant that has quickly gained recognition as one of the island’s gastronomic references. Located in the heart of Ibiza, Sa Vida stands out for its absolute respect for the product and its ability to fuse culinary tradition with the most modern creativity. Each dish served at their table is a contemporary interpretation of the classic flavors of the island, a perfect balance between the traditional and the innovative.

A menu that delighted the senses

The evening was marked by a menu that explored the richness and freshness of Ibizan cuisine with a modern twist. Attendees were seduced by four carefully designed dishes to complement the experience of the wines that accompanied the evening:

  • Tomato salad, piquillo peppers, tuna belly, pear aioli and basil oil.

  • Mellow rice with Ibizan red shrimp.

  • Spring roll of cow tail.

  • Pear tatin.

Each dish was a delicious surprise, with unexpected combinations and flavors that surprised and delighted the diners.

The protagonist wines: a journey through the land of Ibiza

The experience was guided by Álvaro Pérez Navazo, DipWSET, who led the attendees through an exclusive selection of wines from Can Rich, a pioneer winery in organic production on the island. The wines selected perfectly accompanied the menu, offering a unique opportunity to get to know the authentic flavors of Ibiza:

  • Can Rich Blanc 2024 (Malvasia, Moscatel grano menudo, others).

  • Rosat d’Amfora 2024 (Monastrell).

  • Lausos 2021 (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon).

  • Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature (sparkling Malvasia).

  • Ibicencan herbs.

Each wine was a window into the essence of the island, with its distinctive aromas and flavors that perfectly complemented the creativity of Sa Vida’s cuisine. In addition to enjoying them in-situ, attendees had the opportunity to purchase their favorite wines directly from the winery at the end of the dinner, taking a piece of the experience home with them.

A toast to tradition and modernity

Sa Vida managed to create the perfect atmosphere for this experience, a space where avant-garde cuisine meets the most authentic essence of Ibiza. The evening progressed amid toasts and laughter, with attendees enjoying both the food and the excellent conversations that ensued as the wines were served. Undoubtedly, an event that proved that the art of eating and drinking can be much more than a simple pleasure: it is an experience for the senses, the mind and the heart.
