Authentic village wines
The Land
The vineyards in this region are located under the Sierra del Toloño, a mountain range that acts as a barrier against the Cantabrian rains, while at the same time naturally ventilating the clusters and allowing the grapes to acquire an innate freshness, an Atlantic character that marks the area's DNA.
Most of the soils of La Sonsierra are calcareous-clay, although there are also sandier areas near the Ebro and terraces with pebbles in the meanders of the river.
The Winery
An adventure that started almost twenty years ago has not slowed down thanks to their creativity and desire to explore and create wines.
That is why today they own more than 300 hectares of vineyards and cultivate 38 different varietals, with whose grapes they make more than 35 different wines so that hundreds of thousands of people can enjoy them in more than 60 countries.
The Winemaker
Raúl Acha is the soul of Vintae wines, technical director and winemaker, he always claims to feel, above all, a winegrower. It is not strange being the penultimate generation of this family chain and having lived among vineyards.
He is a firm believer that wine is made in the vineyard, which is why he is committed to manual labor, the recovery of ancestral techniques and, above all, minimal intervention to respect the natural rhythms of the vine in symbiosis with its environment.

The aging has been 14 months in oak barrels, which has given it body on the palate and makes it smooth on the palate while enjoying good acidity. The nose offers a lot of concentration of fresh red fruit, flowers, sweet spices, smoked and fine toasted notes. A very enjoyable wine now with a long life and gastronomic complexity.
