An incomparable terroir

The Land

We find a soil that defies the limits of vine cultivation, located in the vicinity of the Sierra de Ayllón and whose altitude is over 1,000m. The thermal oscillations typical of this mountain range give the wines an additional point of freshness, not typical of this continental climate.

The Winery

Of tradition and family character, at the end of the 90's the Fuentes Family decided to recover the wine essence of the area. It is built in slate, following the canons of what is known as Black Architecture, a style so characteristic of the villages in this area.

The Winegrower

The family decided at the time to surround themselves with the best team, which is why they placed winemaker Juan María Cabellos at the helm. No one has greater knowledge of the estate than him, as he was the person in charge of selecting each plot and the varieties best suited to these unique climatic conditions.

By Mª José Huertas

This is a red wine with a strong personality that I am very fond of because of the character and the family that look after it. The exceptional conditions of the vineyard are clearly reflected in the wine: intense color, juicy, fresh and with an appreciable mineral touch thanks to its long passage through the mouth.
